Richmondshire Pro Player Strength & Conditioning Program
Target Age Group: 11-14 years
Program Focus: Building athletic foundations, improving performance, and ensuring safety during growth phases.Core Objectives
Strength Development: Introduce age-appropriate resistance training to build foundational strength, focusing on bodyweight and light external loads.
Speed and Agility: Improve quickness, reaction times, and multidirectional movement through drills that mimic game situations.
Endurance: Build aerobic and anaerobic capacity for sustained performance across matches.
Flexibility and Mobility: Enhance range of motion to reduce injury risk and improve functional movement.
Injury Prevention: Address common vulnerabilities in youth football players, such as knees, hips, and ankles.
Confidence and Discipline: Foster mental resilience, focus, and a strong work ethic on and off the field.
